Neodymium magnet prices: build a comparable quote
Understand the factors behind a finished-part price and the charges to compare. Project quotations are confirmed against your specification and quantity.
A price needs a product and a quantity.
A finished neodymium magnet quote applies to a particular drawing, material, finish and order quantity. A raw-material index or a retail pack price does not establish what your specified part will cost.
Nike Industrial Trading handles project price inquiries. Use the factors below to compare the same requirement, then request a quotation for your part.
Request a project quoteWhy similar magnets can have different prices
Change one requirement at a time when comparing alternatives.
| Factor | Why it changes the comparison | What to keep consistent |
|---|---|---|
| Material and grade | Different magnetic and thermal requirements can call for different materials. A higher energy-product number alone does not describe the whole specification. | Full grade or material data, temperature and magnetic requirement |
| Geometry and machining | Material volume, holes, thin sections, curved profiles and tight finished limits affect the processing required. | Drawing revision, dimensions, features and tolerances |
| Coating and inspection | A different finish or additional acceptance check changes the work and evidence being requested. | Finish, test method, sampling and required records |
| Quantity and batches | Setup and other one-time charges may be distributed across different quantities. Separate releases can also change packing and freight. | Quantity per part, sample quantity and delivery schedule |
| Delivery scope | A unit price may exclude packing, shipping or taxes that another proposal includes. | Destination, named delivery terms and included charges |

Read the total, not only the unit price
Keep currency and quantity basis explicit. Confirm which charges are already included so they are counted only once.
Quoted total = unit price × quantity + applicable separate charges
Separate charges can include tooling or setup, additional inspection, packing, freight and taxes where applicable. The quotation should identify inclusions and exclusions; this formula organizes a comparison and does not calculate a market price.
| Quotation field | What it should identify |
|---|---|
| Part basis | Drawing and revision, dimensions, material, finish and magnetization; any proposed exceptions |
| Unit price | Amount, currency and unit, tied to the stated quantity for that part |
| One-time and separate charges | Each applicable item, whether included, and whether it applies again to a repeat order |
| Delivery | Destination, terms, freight and tax scope; sample, product and transport timing stated separately |
| Validity and payment | Quotation expiry and the payment conditions for the proposed order |

Per piece, per kilogram or a material index?
Compare prices for the same product state. A magnet blank, a finished coated magnet and a delivered assembly include different work. A weight-based number also needs its grade, unit, date and delivery basis.
The weight calculator estimates geometry-based mass; it does not determine a finished-part selling price.
Compare quantity options fairly
Request separate quotes for the quantities or releases you are considering, with the specification held constant. Ask how setup, samples and freight are treated. A larger quantity does not establish a particular discount.
